Vedas are the collection of knowledge of the Aryans and the Brahmins and these are separated and known in four different sacred texts. The first veda is known as RigVeda. After Vedic period that is since 1000 BC to 600 BC, other Vedas namely Sama Veda, Yajur Veda and Atharva Veda were added one by one to this collection.
These are having Upanishads and Vedangas along with them as wealth of knowledge in all the areas of study related to the sciences as well as the physical world. This is the time span known as Vedic period.
